Roger Waters Sacramento left a lot to be desired
The songs were performed well, great, in fact. Angelic harmonies and hair-raising melodies were magnificent accents throughout the show. In my opinion, the most incredible performers of the evening were the two female singers.
When I go to a show, I go to be entertained, not to be fed some garbage regarding someone's political views. Visuals that degrade our President, text taken out of context, and blatant hatred are unwanted and unnecessary. I can see an inflated ticket price for a show with major production elements, but it wasn't that great, to be honest. Granted, the vid screen was immense, but the laser production was pretty paltry.
Curiosity led me to see what a t-shirt would cost, and my jaw almost hit the floor when I saw that a shirt would set someone back $70. Seventy bucks for a shirt?!?! I don't care if it's tie-dye or not. Calling out our President for being greedy takes more balls than brains, especially since my lower level seats, not on the floor, approached the $250 mark a piece! To call someone out for being greedy then have those prices for souvenirs is absurd and completely invalidates any point the artist was trying to make.
What started out as a decent show quickly plummeted to a disgusting political outburst after an intermission. We were disappointed with the overall theme of the latter half of the show but appreciated the musical talents on the stage.
